TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

 

 

 

 

OCCASION APPOINTMENTS AND PREVIEWS (TRIALS):

​

  • All appointments and previews must be paid in full on the day of the appointment. If the client would like to pay via bank transfer the MUA should be made aware and the balance should be paid 48 hours before the appointment takes place. 

  • The Make Up Artist may request a deposit to secure the appointment, If the date or time of this appointment needs to be amended the deposit will be transferred over to the new date. 

  • If the appointment is cancelled by the MUA the deposit will be refunded unless they can offer an alternative solution.  

  • If the client cancels the scheduled appointment and does not rebook the deposit will not be refunded. 

  • If the Client would like any extra previews, there will be a fee for this. 

  • Make up previews are limited to 2 hours per person, if extra time is needed this is charged at £20 per hour. 

  • Make up previews can be carried out at either the MUA’s home in Hockley or at the client’s home (providing its within the south essex area.  

     

    WEDDINGS

  • The MUA will request a deposit of £100 (which comes off the final balance) to secure the wedding date. This is non- refundable.

  • If the deposit is not paid within 48 hours of the request the MUA holds the right to release the date to another client.

  • The remaining balance should be paid 1 month before the wedding date. The MUA holds the right to terminate the services if payment is not made.

  • If the client decides to reduce the size of the Bridal party less than 4 weeks before the wedding date, the full amount will still need to be paid.

  • If the client would like to increase the size of the Bridal party, the additional fee will be added to the balance. An increase is size is subject to the MUA’s availability. 

  • For clients who are making a last minute booking (4 weeks or less before the date of the event) the total balance will be requested in full. This should be paid 48 hours after the initial enquiry was made.

  • The MUA may require an assistant to the event if necessary, no extra charge is required for this.

 

 

GENERAL

 

  • The client has the responsibility to inform the MUA of any skin conditions or allergies in advance. The MUA does not accept any liability for any skin reactions or irritations.

  • The client also has the responsibility to let the MUA know of any allergies.  

  • On booking an appointment the client is accepting the MUA’s terms and conditions.

  • The MUA holds the right to terminate the service if the T’s & C’s are breached.

     

TRAVEL

 

  • A mileage fee of 50p per mile will be applied if the makeup location is more than 10 miles from Hockley, Essex. 

  •        If the MUA needs to take public transport  or underground etc. the client will be charged to cover this.

  •  If the MUA is travelling to a destination aboard for a wedding - accommodation and travel costs will be calculated within a bespoke quote. 


 

CANCELLATION POLICY
 

 

  • If the MUA can no longer perform services for any reason, a recommendation of a replacement MUA will be provided.

  • The MUA is only liable to offer a 100% refund if she has to cancel the booking and cannot provide an alternative solution. 

  • If the client cancels the booking with 3 months or more notice, the deposit plus 50% of any additional payments made will be retained by the MUA.

  • If the client cancels the booking with less than 3 months notice, the deposit plus 75% of any additional payments made will be retained by the MUA.

  • If the client cancels the booking within 1 months notice, the deposit plus any additional payments made will be retained by the MUA.

  • If the client wishes to postpone a booking to a later date, all monies paid will be transferred over to the new date. 

  • The cancellation policy as stated covers any and all eventualities, for example, Acts of God.
